About CE Harris Law
Charles "Chuck" really enjoys the meeting and getting to know his clients. You will find his casual office atmosphere an inviting place to meet to discuss the future of your business or to create an Estate Plan that will help you sleep better at night. On any given day you probably won’t find Chuck in a suit at the office, but he has no problem dressing the part when needed to be in court or other professional settings.
Charles has been part of the Sonoma Valley community since 1980 when he moved here to setup his practice. Since starting his practice in Sonoma he has also become an active part of the community by serving on the Boards of several non-profits including Private Foundations.
He received his B.A. from the University of Arizona and his Juris Doctorate from Western State University, College of Law, San Diego, California where he was managing editor of Western State University’s Law Review. He has been practicing in the State of California and in the Federal Courts since 1977. In his experienced career Charles has represented small business in all phases of development. He was one of the founders of Flowmaster, Inc., a high performance muffler manufacturer. Charles has focused his practice on start up businesses and businesses in transition (mergers, acquisitions, ownership changes) and he has been instrumental in assisting many businesses through high growth experiences.
Chuck has been a sole practitioner in Sonoma for the last 35 years. He has served as an officer (corporate Secretary, VP and General Counsel) and on the board of directors of several businesses, including the internet technology sector, geothermal development sector, and the other alternative energy sectors. His strength is assisting others to solve the organizational, legal, and capital problems that come with accelerated growth. He also has extensive experience working with Federal, State, and local regulatory agencies at all levels.
